Lisa and Steven

We're looking to adopt a baby

Hello, we are Steven and Lisa. Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. As you review our profile, we hope you can envision what your child’s life might be like if placed with us.

Our story is similar to many these days as we met on an online dating site. At the time (2011), Lisa was in the military and stationed in Alabama and Steven was only a few towns away, working long hours with little time for socializing. We were a little apprehensive about online dating and exchanged messages for about two months before finally meeting.

We hit it off right away (despite Lisa’s occasional difficulty understanding Steven’s thick southern accent). We had fun getting to know each other, going to country concerts, watching football games, and trying out new restaurants.

We got engaged and married in late 2013. Within our first year of marriage, Lisa was deployed and we put our plans for a child on hold until her return. In 2015, we were elated to finally start our family.

Unfortunately, we struggled with infertility for over six years and were unable to conceive even with the help of multiple fertility specialists.  We have come to peace with not being able to have biological children, and we know that we have a lot of love to give to a child.  We are more than ready to start this exciting new chapter in our lives. Our hearts and our home are ready for a precious baby who we can love on, adore, and probably spoil a little bit too.
